Nightingale’s ‘Emily’ Wins Gold in IDA Awards

04/26/2019

Nightingale’s  Emily chair has been awarded the gold prize in product design in the 2019 International Design Awards. Created by designers, thinkers, and entrepreneurs, the International Design Awards recognize and celebrate smart and sustainable multidisciplinary design. Since 2007, they have awarded companies across design disciplines: fashion, architecture, graphic, interior, and product design. Our Emily chair is a newcomer to the awards circuit: this was its first entry, and its first win!

A combination seating and table product, the Emily is vibrant yet soft, with clean lines and a playful shape. It was inspired by W.R. Breen’s youngest granddaughter and will brighten up any environment. Designed to be easily converted, the Emily is perfect for multi-tasking people and multi-purpose spaces.

The IDA recognized Emily for both its design and functionality. It’s easily convertible nature means it fills a void in the lounge and guest seating market. It allows users to do more with less space, facilitating collaboration and creativity.

We are excited that the Emily has received the top ‘gold’ prize in the International Design Awards, and proud that its innovative features have been recognized.
